Nebraska Ranch Practicum- The eight-session Nebraska Ranch Practicum will be June 10-11, July 9, Sept. 9-10, and Nov. 5, 2015, and Jan. 6-7, 2016. The practicum gives ranchers information about new technology that will improve their ranch and more information about their resources and the markets. The practicum is not free, but included with the fee is all the books and meals. Travel and lodging is on your own though.
Two generations honored as Farm Families Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce began recognizing a Farm Family of the Year 35 years ago, two generations of the same family were honored Tuesday night: Audrey and John Strauss, Dan and Stacy Strauss and their families.hey started renting land and had a new piece each year to transform from alfalfa to gravity irrigated corn. They started buying land in 1976, adding to their farm as they could afford it.
