Hemp in Nebraska: More Than Ditchweed?- The plant commonly known as ditchweed, which is a plant that looks a lot like marijuana, but it is not actually, it is like marijuana, but just a weaker brother according to a state patrolman. There are many beneficial things that hemp could do to the human body and the production of hemp in Nebraska is being thought about for it could become a new crop to invest in.
Lincoln, NE - Most Nebraskans probably know it best as ‘ditchweed,' the plant that grows wild and looks just like marijuana. But hemp advocates say it's not for getting high, though they believe it could boost Nebraska's economy to new heights. Bill Hawkins of the Nebraska Hemp Company sifts through a bag of already processed plant material, and says what he holds in his hands is an old crop with a bright future. It's cannabis sativa, commonly known as hemp.
Drones may transform the agriculture industry. Drones are valued by farmers because of the cameras they hold on board as it can capture a view of the whole field in a matter of minutes. With this technology it could help farmers determine the problem spots of their field.
